The first surveillance visit for MVC's integrated management system resulted in a recommendation for the continued use of the SGS ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2009. Furthermore, after the audit in March 2010, MVC's integrated quality management system was certified using the new ISO 9001:2008 standard, applicable to all of its six sites all over the country.

The EMS of MVC Iligan was also reported by TÜV-SÜD as effective, and recognizes MVC's classification upgrade from Blue to Green on DENR's ECOWATCH. As a result TÜV-SÜD has recommended the continuation of MVC's EMS certification to the ISO 14001:2004 standard. The plant also has certified Health and Safety Management System under the OHSAS 18001:2007 standards.
As of 2009, 84% of Responsible Care management practices have been put in place in the MVC Iligan Plant compared to the 65% in 2008. Most of the additional implemented practices are in the Process Safety Code and the Employee Health Safety code and generally concerning documentation and information sharing.

In the MPBP plant, RC implementation is at 65% with 31% of the practices being developed as part of the process of establishing an EMS for MPBP.
